MAY 2017 NEWSLETTER

New Committee

New Committee Hi Everyone I would like to take the time to introduce myself I’m Greg Thomas the new president of the club. I have been a part of this club since I started playing football in under 8s. I am looking forward to the challenge of helping this club grow.  I wish all teams and players the best of luck for the season and look forward to seeing you all around the club.

Miniroo Carnival – 24 and 25 June 2017

We are holding a Miniroos Carnival over the weekend of the 24-25th of June. As this will be our major fundraising event for the season we would like as many members as possible to help.

Please come to our Open Forum on the 8th of May from 6:30pm at the club to discuss what needs to be done. We will be looking for people to help in the canteen, cook the BBQ, sell raffle tickets, ground officials and referee on the day. It will be great day, made better with your support to run it and help keep your club growing.  Don’t forget you can earn your volunteer levy back.

Pie Drive

This year we are raising funds again by doing a Pie Drive. We are using Homestlye Bake again this year. Forms will be out this week. Orders need to be returned to the club by 7th June and pies will be delivered to the clubhouse on Friday 16th June from 4pm. We would appreciate your help in sorting the pies. Please let us know if you have a spare hour to help. Pies will need to be collected on this day as the club is unable to store them. The family with the most money raised will have their volunteer levy refunded.

Volunteer jobs

We are currently putting together a list of volunteer jobs for around the club house and also the grounds. If you are handy on the computer, good with a drill or hammer, marketing or another useful skill, please contact the office to offer your services. This is another good way to earn your volunteer points for the season.

Outstanding Fees

As agreed during the registration process, outstanding payment is due. Players will not be able to take the field if fees haven’t been paid or up to date. As we are a small family club we rely on these funds to help us grow and continue to provide the necessary support needed to run the club. We appreciate your cooperation with this matter. Every little bit helps and without these funds we are not able to move forward.

We want to hear from you!

Canteen Helpers – we need you please J

We always appreciate volunteers helping out in the canteen and want to make sure our parents are able to watch their kid’s games.  This can be achieved by a parent volunteering for half an hour before / after your team’s games.  We have asked our team managers to help us with this initiative and appreciate their efforts including adding it to their game day jersey / fruit roster sheets.

Ezi Debit Application Form

Need a payment plan?  We understand not everyone is able to pay the registration fees in time for the start of the season.  Ridge Hills United Football Club policy is the minimum payment of the affiliation fees must be paid before a player can step onto the field.  Unfortunately once player has played an official fixture we are unable to obtain a refund from our affiliated body.

With regards to the club's component you can have up to eight weeks to make full payment provided you have completed the Ezi Debit application form to allow direct debit payments.  There is a $20.00 cost for this application form to cover the administration costs.
